A major cross-state coordinated investigation into an illegal gambling ring has been launched by Brazilian authorities.
Operation “Conto da Sorte”, authorized by the Federal Revenue Service (FRS), is targeting illegal gambling activities in the states of Pernambuco, São Paulo, and Ceará. The operation involves collaboration between three Public Prosecutor Offices and local police forces. According to the FRS, law enforcement agencies have already carried out several actions as part of the operation.
