Capcom has announced increased profits for the ninth year in a row, driven by the success of Resident Evil Requiem and strong catalogue sales within the franchise.

Capcom has announced increased profits for the ninth year in a row, with its digital contents segment driving overall net sales up by 15.2% to $1.2 billion. The company attributed this growth to the success of Resident Evil Requiem and strong catalogue sales within the franchise. Digital contents sales rose by 15.3% year-on-year to $914 million, while operating profit increased by 8.4% to $447.4 million. The segment achieved a record 59.07 million unit sales, marking an increase of over 7.1 million from the previous year.

For the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2026, Capcom reported net sales of $1.2 billion, up by 15.2% year-on-year, and net income of $345.4 million, an increase of 12.7% year-on-year. Resident Evil Requiem, launched on February 27, 2026, sold over five million copies within five days and reached seven million units by April, becoming the fastest-selling title in the Resident Evil series. The positive reception of Requiem also boosted catalogue sales for other Resident Evil titles like Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village, with catalogue title sales surpassing 49.46 million units.

Capcom's Monster Hunter franchise also experienced sales growth, supported by the success of Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. The company expanded its user base through a multiplatform strategy, including porting catalogue titles to the Nintendo Switch 2. Additionally, Capcom saw growth in its esports and media businesses, with the Devil May Cry animated series on Netflix driving sales of Devil May Cry 5 and earlier titles through pricing and promotional efforts.
