Gamescom Latam Attendance Increases by 17.5% in 2026

Gamescom Latam attendance up by 17.5% in 2026. Plus executives from Abragames and Brasil Games reflect on the present and future of Brazil's games industry.

The third edition of Gamescom Latam attracted 154,000 visitors, marking a 17.5% increase from 2025. The event, held in São Paulo, Brazil from April 29 to May 3, showcased over 400 games, including new releases like Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and Invincible VS. Notable figures such as PUBG's Brendan Greene and former Rare composer David Wise were among the 500 speakers.

The BIG Festival Awards saw a total of 960 game submissions from 75 countries, with Brazil contributing 451 submissions. The event also featured 1,100 companies from 59 countries in the B2B area, resulting in over 13,000 business meetings and an estimated $180 million in new business generated.

Gamescom Latam partner Eliana Russi highlighted Brazil's position as a key player in the global games industry, aiming to connect various stakeholders worldwide. Rodrigo Terra from Abragames and Patricia Sato from Brasil Games discussed Brazil's potential in game development, emphasizing the country's growing reputation for contract work and original IP creation.
