This decision was influenced by Dan Prigg, head of the newly re-announced Paramount Games Studio, who revealed that Platinum expressed interest in the IP even before the merger. The excitement and mutual admiration between the two teams made the collaboration inevitable.
Paramount Games Studio, a result of the Paramount and Skydance merger, will be the new home for Skydance's studios. The studio will not only continue developing Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra and an untitled Star Wars game but also collaborate with external studios like Platinum to create games based on Paramount IP.
Prigg emphasized that Platinum's passion for their IP made them the ideal choice for this project, highlighting the importance of finding a studio that truly values the intellectual property they are working on.
