Insider Gaming reports that the layoffs were announced during an internal meeting as part of the company's ongoing restructuring process. Around 50-100 jobs are believed to be at risk in San Francisco alone.
Earlier in August 2024, a total of 45 employees were let go across Ubisoft's San Francisco studio and Red Storm Entertainment in Cary, North Carolina. The San Francisco studio was home to the team responsible for Ubisoft's online shooter, XDefiant.
