Unity has reported a 17% revenue increase in Q1 2026, reaching $508 million. However, the company faced a $347 million loss attributed to the closure of IronSource and the sale of Supersonic.
Unity has released its financial results for Q1 2026, showing a 17% revenue increase to $508 million compared to $435 million in Q1 2025. The company saw growth in Create Solutions and Grow Solutions, with the latter experiencing a 23% rise year-on-year.
However, Unity reported a significant $347 million loss this quarter, a stark contrast to the $78 million loss in Q1 2025. This was mainly due to the shutdown of IronSource and the sale of Supersonic earlier in the year.
Unity attributed the rise in Create Solutions revenue to increased subscription income, offset by declines in cloud and hosting services. The growth in Grow Solutions was fueled by the Unity Ad Network, particularly Unity Vector, launched in 2025.
The closure of IronSource aimed to streamline Unity's operations towards high-growth areas like Vector. The $347 million net loss included $279 million in impairment charges linked to IronSource's closure and Supersonic's divestiture.
Unity's partnership with IronSource in 2022 allowed developers to monetize apps. The recent financials followed the launch of new AI tools by Unity to aid game development, now in open beta for Unity 6 users and later.
