Valve has announced price increases of over 40% for its Steam Deck OLED models. The 512GB model has increased from $549 to $789, while the 1TB model has risen from $649 to $949. Valve cites industry-wide component costs and logistical challenges for the increase. The updated prices are: Steam Deck OLED 512GB: Now $789; CAD $1,129; €779; £649; AUD $1,199; PLN 3,279. Steam Deck OLED 1TB: Now $949 USD; CAD $1,349; €919; £779; AUD $1,429; PLN 3,879.

Earlier this year, Valve stated that the OLED model could be "intermittently" available in some regions due to the ongoing RAM shortage. The company also delayed launching upcoming hardware due to supply issues. Valve launched the Steam Controller on May 4, after announcing it alongside the Steam Machine and Frame last year. Valve is the latest hardware maker affected by ongoing component shortages.
