Jin Universe Studios has launched with investor backing to fund their debut title Aether Dawn, an anime-inspired hack-and-slash RPG.
Singapore-based Jin Universe Studios has been launched with support from Arbitrum Gaming Ventures (AGV) and Bitkraft Ventures. The undisclosed investment will be used to develop Aether Dawn, a hack-and-slash RPG with an anime theme that the studio aims to turn into a long-lasting intellectual property. Co-founded by Tack Wei Ho and Tack Jun Ho, Jin Studio's development team includes members with backgrounds from Tencent, Hypergryph Network Technology, and Kuro Games, having worked on titles like Hitori no Shita (The Hidden Ones), Arknights, and Wuthering Waves.
Jin Studios' co-founder Tack Wei Ho expressed excitement about the growth of anime-style games globally, noting the increasing player demand in this genre. The studio aims to create Aether Dawn by blending fan-favorite elements with innovative gameplay experiences. The backing from AGV and Bitkraft will provide the necessary support to bring this vision to life.
Partner at Bitkraft Ventures, Jonathan Huang, highlighted the partnership with Jin Universe Studios from their early stages, praising the team's ability to execute their plans effectively. Aether Dawn is described as combining the intense combat of ARPGs with the replay value of roguelites, offering a unique proposition in the market. The investors are confident in the project's potential and look forward to expanding the IP with the help of AGV.
